BREAKING NEWS: Several former champions and a WCW veteran return to ROH…….

Decades of professional wrestling taught Manolo Has Pizzazz all the lessons of life. For more than a decade, Manolo has been providing coverage of the sport on Cageside Seats.

On April 24, 2025, ROH TV’s episode 113 featured a few intriguing comebacks. There was an action from a WCW veteran, and two teams that had won ROH gold were returning.

It’s Crowbar first. WCW was where he achieved his greatest career success, taking home the cruiserweight, hardcore, and world tag team titles. As a special guest attraction, Crowbar, who had a few ROH bouts over the years, attracted a formidable opponent for his comeback. Crowbar turned to face Lance Archer.

Bringing a crowbar, Crowbar was ready for the event. Despite this, Don Callis made a few sloppy shots during the game. After Archer destroyed the shop early, Crowbar came back and used his surrounds to force Archer onto the steel steps’ drop toehold and ring post. With momentum, Crowbar attempted to seize his crowbar inside the ring. Bryce Remsburg, the referee, blocked the foreign object’s course. This gave Archer the time he needed to recuperate so he could finish with the Blackout and goozle Crowbar for a chokeslam.

An eight-man tag match included the other returning.

As the Kingdom, Matt Taven and Mike Bennett are back. The ascent of Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong as the Paragon in AEW made the past tag champions in ROH, TNA, NJPW, and other organizations noticeable in their absence.

Vincent and Dutch have returned as the Righteous as well. Together with Bateman, they were once ROH six-man champions. Elijah just appeared in a joint film that generated some online interest for The Righteous. After Elijah joined with TNA, that never moved over to ROH.

The Kingdom, Angelico, and Serpentico faced the Righteous and the Premier Athletes in this evening’s eight-man tag match. It was the Kingdom double superkicking Mark Sterling off the apron that decided the outcome. Out of the ring, the Kingdom was hurried out by the Righteous bum. Serpentico paid the price for attempting to face the eerie pair alone. Vincent’s Orange Sunshine cutter won the race after Dutch’s spinning sidewalk slam.

For either of the returning teams, there was no clear path ahead. The Premier Athletes were mocked by the Righteous for attempting to join them in celebrating the victory. Since they are both heel teams, we’ll see where it goes. Both teams would be deserving opponents, and Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara could generally use challenges for the ROH tag belts.
