WHY NOW :Gaston Sirino’s suspension for the match against Mamelodi Sundowns is a blow to Kaizer Chiefs……

When the Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs play Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville, they will be missing key midfielder Gaston Sirino.

In the Chiefs’ most recent 4-1 loss to SuperSport United, Sirino was sent off with a red card, and he will not play in the match.

Sirino, 34, has been a vital member of Amakhosi’s squad since joining from Sundowns at the start of the season. In 15 appearances across all competitions this season, he has three goals and five assists to his credit.

For the Soweto giants, who are hoping to recover from their defeat to Matsatsantsa, his suspension is a severe setback. They currently have 25 points from 18 games, which puts them in eighth place in the log table.

We’re celebrating the fervor of the Kaizer Chiefs fan in honor of the team’s 55th anniversary and our 8th year with @ToyotaSA.
