BREAKING NEWS : The Panthers slaughter the Sea Eagles…..

At Parker Street Reserve on Friday, the Panthers crushed the Sea Eagles 56-0 in the NSW Cup.

With Trent Toelau at the helm, the Panthers scorched the foot of the Alps, scoring ten tries. In the midst of an incredible Panthers effort, the halfback tore the Sea Eagles defense to pieces.

Asu Kepaoa and Daine Laurie each scored a double, and David Fale claimed a hat-trick. Zack Lamont kicked six goals, Toelau slotted two, while Luron Patea, Jesse McLean, and Riley Wake also crossed the line.

In the 14th minute, Toelau delivered a short pass to unleash a furious Patea near the line, starting the Panthers’ point-scoring spree.

On the Panthers’ subsequent attempt, Toelau’s fingerprints were all over the left edge, making room for Lamont’s deft hands to send Kepaoa pacing over.

The Panthers’ next goal was set up by Jesse McLean, who drifted cross-field within his own half and released David Fale in space. Fale then found Kepaoa in support to score his second goal.

Before wheeling left, Toelau played with the Manly defense and made another spectacular four-pointer. Fale cut through after Lamont made another rapid shift and Mavrik Geyer moved in a smooth manner.

Daine Laurie put the foot down after getting the ball out the back to give the Panthers a sixth try just before halftime.

The Panthers led 30-0 going into the sheds as Lamont kicked five goals in five attempts.

The left edge combined for another long-range attempt as the Panthers continued where they left off in the second stanza. From within the Panthers’ red zone, Geyer burst into free space, while Fale backed up to complete the move.

With a brilliant finish on the right flank, Jaxen Edgar set up McLean for the game’s first goal.

On the hour mark, Fale easily scored his hat-trick while Toelau recorded another assist.

Manly was still being tortured by the halfback, who sent Patea into free space for the Panthers’ subsequent attempt. Laurie backed up to help the fugitive prop, who scored his second goal of the game.

With an incredible tenth try, the Panthers wrapped up their thrilling performance.

A swift play-the-ball invited his team to continue the attack after Kepaoa broke into the backfield from within the Panthers’ half. Riley Wake, unsurprisingly, scored from a Toelau pass after a sprawl from left to right.

With a decisive 56-0 victory, the Panthers scored five tries in each half.
