BREAKING NEWS: After a post-match confrontation involving Jonathan Thurston and Spencer Leniu, details surface…..

After the Roosters’ victory against the Broncos on Friday night, Spencer Leniu allegedly called Jonathan Thurston a “f***wit” during a nasty confrontation. Since then, further information has surfaced. Leniu was a part of the Roosters’ 26-16 victory over Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium, but a post-game incident tarnished the win.

According to multiple reports, Leniu doused Thurston with spray as he came off the field in the second half of the match. On the sidelines was Thurston, a Cowboys and Maroons legend who worked for Channel 9.

“What’s your problem?” the NRL great allegedly questioned Thurston when he approached him after the game. Leniu was reportedly upset about Thurston’s remarks from the previous year, when the Roosters prop was punished for referring to Ezra Mam as a “monkey” during a Roosters vs. Broncos game in Las Vegas.

Thurston was highly critical of Leniu and said the eight-game suspension he received didn’t go far enough. Leniu claimed he didn’t realise the term “monkey” had racial connotations, but Thurston said at the time: “I definitely don’t think the punishment has fit the crime.

Leniu reportedly took exception with Thurston’s comments from the previous season, when the Roosters prop was disciplined for calling Ezra Mam a “monkey” at a Las Vegas Roosters vs. Broncos game.

After the game on Friday, Thurston allegedly went up to Roosters coach Trent Robinson by the locker rooms to complain about Leniu. Cameron Smith later took the role of the proud Indigenous man for Channel 9’s dressing room interviews.

“They just had a discussion on the sideline, I don’t think the details are really clear yet,” Robinson stated in his press conference following the game. However, I believe it’s just two fervent men discussing a difference of view. I think it’s nice when someone expresses their opinions in this game.

Robinson criticized reporters for “trying to put it on Spencer” in relation to the Thurston incident while praising Leniu for his on-field performance. “I don’t know why you guys are trying to put it on Spencer here,” he remarked, adding that Spencer didn’t go out and approach anyone.

Additionally, you need to use caution in the manner in which you pose your queries. No one is harmed on either side. That’s life, but people won’t always agree. So long as people don’t say inappropriate things or go too far.

According to what I observed, there is a conversation going on there, but nothing went too far. It’s just a conversation between two males, therefore it’s not a huge deal, in my opinion.

“When it comes to making accusations against someone, just calm down. You folks have already made up your minds based on the way you are asking questions there. As far as I know, nothing improper was stated, but it might get hot. It was an incident, and it’s acceptable for men to talk about it..
