The Dallas Cowboys need a reliable backup quarterback because backup Cooper Rush left for the Baltimore Ravens. The Central Michigan product and native of Michigan agreed to a two-year, $6.2 million contract that is “rich in incentives.”
It’s a significant shift for Rush and the Cowboys franchise because Rush played for the team for eight long seasons. He has truly made Dallas his home, and he is currently relocating to Baltimore with his family. However, there is no denying that Rush has a fantastic opportunity in Baltimore. In a recent episode of “The Lounge,” a podcast sponsored by the Ravens, he finally speaks out regarding the transfer.
The show’s description reads, “New Raven Cooper Rush talks with team insiders Clifton Brown and Cassie Cherigo about getting to Baltimore, joining the quarterback room with Lamar Jackson, staying ready as a backup, and more.”
On “The Lounge,” Rush made some sophisticated remarks regarding the Cowboys. He expressed his opinion that the Cowboys had a strong squad and expressed his happiness to be joining the Ravens, another strong team. He added that he was taken aback when his agency informed him that Baltimore was considering him.
Rush remarked, “I was really thrilled when my agent informed me that the Ravens had called, and it kind of came out of nowhere.” From a distance in Dallas, it is evident that the Ravens are a good, well-managed organization. Of course, great success, particularly in the last few years. I thought, “Wow, this is really nice.” It came to pass, and now we are here.
Now that Rush is a member of the AFC, they may soon make it to the big game. In recent seasons, they have only lost to the Kansas City Chiefs or the Buffalo Bills, but they have come close.
